Traditional Hunter Education
Follow Wolfsen Road approximately 2 miles until the pavement ends at the Refuge entrance. Continue through the gate on the gravel road and follow the signs to the Elk and Waterfowl auto tour routes. The Visitor Center is on the left immediately after passing through main entrance. Special Instructions for All Students Free class. On Saturday a lunch will be provided by the Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation, Los Banos Chapter. Students younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire class. You should pick up manuals at Los Banos Wildlife Area 8:00-4:00 Mon-Friday or Eclipse Firearms and Training, 840 6th St, Los Banos 10-6 Mon-Fri or Sat 9-4. Attendance for all class hours is mandatory. Do not show up late or you will not be allowed into the class. Download the Hunter Education Vocabulary and complete before class.

The Traditional Hunter Education course consists of a minimum of 10 hours of classroom, homework, and field instruction. The Traditional Course is most often preferred by first-time hunters.STOP All students are required to obtain a California Get Outdoors ID (GO ID) prior to registering for California Hunter Education courses.
